The Foundation for Ohio River Education teaches people of all ages in the Ohio RiverBasin to become environmental stewardsthrough hands-on programs that get peopleon the water and engaged in preserving the cultural, ecological, and economic value of our rivers.

The PA Denny River Education Center is the flagship program of the Foundation for Ohio River Education. It is a science classroom and laboratory housed aboard an authentic sternwheel paddleboat. The PA Denny River Education Center connects students and communities to the Ohio River through hands-on voyages of discovery. On board, passengers are immersed in river ecology as they make observations, perform water quality tests, and study aquatic organisms. Most importantly, they learn how the river plays an important part in their everyday lives, and how they play a crucial part in preserving the health and legacy of this amazing resource!
